Its was an outstanding view. My son love it
The view is worth the hike, it's a wooden walk way with lots of stairs.
Decent view of the river & dam below, and you can see the Starved Rock Overlook across the entrance to French Canyon directly to the west.nNot a terrible hike from the visitor's center; we did about 3 miles to hit French and Wildcat Canyons and the overlooks in about 1 1/2 hours.
Part of Starved Rock so my review is under that.
Great for family hikes. Beautiful view of Illinois River. Best not to use stroller since there are a few flights of stairs to climb.
