It's noisy as hell from North avenue. Lots of car and truck noise going by. The walk through the forest is nice though. For a natural oasis in the city, it's ok. Is it natural, though? Not like going on a wilderness hike, for sure, if you know what I mean. Anyway, it's good to go out in the woods.
Love coming here...for so many reasons. The peace, the dear and the trails are so pretty.

Decent spot with a bridge across the Des Plaines River. I hiked starting from Catherine Chevalier Woods to Jerome Huppert and back and was able to take a trail along the river the entire route. Good times!
