I've been here once. It was cold and windy. Caught no fish. But we loved every single minute. It was beautiful! There lots of parking, it appears to be a great spot for families and picnics. It's right off the highway and a big gas station but super hidden so you don't feel like you're near anything. I can't say how great the fishing is yet but hopefully it's gonna be awesome and we will be out there chucking chonks and rippin lips soon enough!

One of my favorite places to take my dog for a walk. Convenient, not crowded..

Nice, level straight-away for a smooth bike ride. If you live in the Garfield Ridge/Clearing/Summit area, this is very easy to get to. The trail eventually leads to the Centennial trail / Schneider's Passage route in Lemont which is equally nice (and slightly preferential to us). Natural beauty abounds, and the lighthouse is worth a pause to view (see photo 3). *please note: if social distancing is a concern, forget about this trail on the weekends, try to shoot for weeknights.*
