Central Kentucky Classic Cars is one great place to find a car. Their prices are fair, and they go out of their way to find great cars for anyone. They don’t only deal classic cars they live sold everything from new diesels to VW bugs. They can also ship a car anywhere. They’ve shipped a Chevelle as far as France! The Dotson brothers have been well known throughout the city of Paris, KY and the automotive community as being honest, and having great integrity. If you’re looking for a car that won’t disappoint, this is the place.

I would give them a rating of below zero but Goggle doesn’t offer it. I purchased 57 Bel Air from Ky classics. Due to medical issues I was not able to visit their site to drive, inspect the car. So after chatting in length with the owners I decided to trust what they told me about the car. Stating the car has ran good for them and no major issues. I was able to locate another classic car dealer who went and looked at the car, but did not drive it. Said the car looked good but had no idea how it drove. Looking back I should have found a mechanic but didn’t think about it at the time. Based on the both of the owners information and they seemed to be honest so I decided to purchase it. After receiving the car I went thru approximately two tanks of fuel before having problems.nIt’s now in the shop and needs thousands of dollars in repairs. New carburetor, fuel tank (lines & filter), oil pan, transmission, radiator leaks, rear tires are dry rotted, installed backwards. Choke had been removed and was running so rich there is black liquid coming out the tail pipe and spark plugs are caked with soot. Gasoline in the oil. Rear tires are so over sized they rub both sides of the wheel wells and had to drop the rear axle and disconnect the drive shaft just to remove the tires. Had to purchase four new tires. AC doesn’t work. Was led to believe it would get appx 14-15 mpg but actually gets 8 mpg. The trunk and hood needs body work. I knew there would be and prepared for some repairs as it’s a classic but this is ridiculous. I’m sure there will be other items pop up once the mechanics get into it. Before anyone purchases a vehicle from them get a good mechanic to throughly go over the car, it would be worth the money. To say I’m disappointed and disgusted would put it mildly. Was my dream car but turning out to be a nightmare. I would rate them below one star but not offered. They did offer I could choose another car on their lot and work something out, but why go from one headache to another. The car is black cherry. So I’ve given it a nick name. PBA. My Purple Boat Anchor. The car was over priced but I really like the car and decided to go ahead. Ive been offered half of what I paid and have almost decided to take it and run. Only really good thing about the car is the under carriage. Original builder did a very nice reconstruction job but Ky Classic didn’t do it. Turning out being a money pit. If you decide to purchase a car from them find a unbiased good mechanic and body man to go over it in detail. Would be worth the time and expense. Save you a headache. Anyway it is what it is.
