I've been going to Crunch almost every day for months. Illinois is still operating under a mandatory mask mandate for indoor public spaces and at least half of the people in the gym do not wear a mask and the staff never tell people to put a mask on. There are staff members milling about and staff not wearing a mask either. The paper towels used for cleaning equipment after use are rarely in stock now so I guess I'm just curious how people should feel safe while working out at a gym that does not enforce the mask mandate and rarely stocks the paper towels? The rules regarding the mask mandate are very clear, why is it so difficult to follow and enforce them?
I absolutely love this gym and all of the amenities! The staff is very courteous and I love that they have a kid care system in place so that I can bring my little one and still get an effective workout! Kudos Crunch Fitness!
I’m not a gym-bro. I don’t work out because I like to. I work out because I like food. That said, I don’t feel too out of place here even though it is crawling with gym-bros. They are welcoming and even the encounters I’ve had the the tryhards have been pleasant.nnThe place is clean as well. Like probably the cleanest place I visit on a weekly basis. Not worried about getting sick when I visit.nnLastly, Kids crunch is amazing. I honestly have thought about just dropping off my kids and sitting in the massage chair for an hour just because.nnIn summary, if you’re looking for a gym, nut up and join crunch.
Liked crunch at first, until I tried putting my account on hold. There are multiple month my wife and I paid, but they would not refund when it was their error. We have called and followed up multiple times, but still no response. Nice equipment, terrible customer service. We went somewhere else.
Gym is nice, do not get me wrong.nnBut customer service is TERRIBLE. I moved away from Champaign last summer, and attempted to cancel my membership in September 2020. They said since I was not in person, I had to email the manager giving permission to cancel my membership.. I did EXACTLY that. Come February now, no response, no cancelation and my account continues to be charged.nnI call multiple times the past three months to get an answer and try to cancel, and they always said they were going to transfer me to the manager.. BUT he/she happened to ALWAYS be busy, so the front desk said they would have him/her call me, but I am yet to receive a call back. I have sent numerous emails with no response, requesting a refund and no reply. I have shown proof of my email as requested that I sent back in September and it has gone no where. And as of this month they went ahead and hit me with a yearly fee of 35 ish dollars?nnDo yourself a favor.. If you move, don't expect to ever be able to cancel your membership on the phone, do it in person. If not, you will be locked in helpless having your money stolen for who knows how long.
