My 12-year-old grandson participated in an intuitive painting session with Terri and he absolutely loved it. He struggles with anxiety and ADHD and was pretty high strung when the session started, but Terri was able to help him settle in and relax. He came home feeling much more peaceful and is looking forward to returning.

Painting at Illume has been one of my favorite and most meaningful experiences in Champaign. Terri will introduce you to the process of intuitive painting, which allows you to become free from your inner critic and just have fun with the paint. There are no rules - you just get to explore and experiment. She has a warm welcoming presence, and often has really powerful activities planned for before / after the painting time. She will come around and help you if you get stuck, or ask you very thought-proving questions about your art, that allow you to see things in a new light. Each time I have gone, I have learned something new about myself, and my paintings continue to reveal things to me long after they are home and up on the wall. Terri has also been wonderful about scheduling times that work for me to come in around my crazy work schedule. I highly recommend checking out Illume!
