Drove all the way down to Provo from dwntwn Salt Lake to see a car. Even called the Car lot, to let them know we were on our way from Salt Lake....they asked how long, and we told them we would be there in 45min. When we got there, we took the car for a test drive...just blocks away, we were pulled over by police for not having a dealer plate, and the drivers' side brake light was out (which hadn't been disclosed) The policeman let us go.... while taking note of which local dealership is sending people out on test drives without dealer plates. We got back to the dealership, and the salesman didn't seem to really care about what had just happened with the police. Also, shortly after we got back, a gentleman approached coming off the street, and blurted out "I just sent you a Venmo - the money is in your account". The salesman turns to us & says, "Sorry, this car just sold". We left very dissapointed. A few days later...I saw that the car was still for sale. I messaged the salesman, and he said, "Yeah, sorry...the guy wasn't able to finalize the deal through the bank". What??!! You turned us out of your lot, over a deal that wasn't closed??! After we had just come ALL THE WAY from SALT LAKE....specifically for THAT CAR??! Terrible business practice....just terrible. * >>> In response to the owner's reply below...there are just a few things that you're "claiming", which paint the picture a little brighter than it is. First off - you "conveniently" forgot to mention that we got pulled over when we took the car for a test drive....because of the reluctance on your part to slap one on the vehicle beforehand. The policeman was treating the instance as if it were a stolen car. And upon our return, in complaining to the salesman...he seemed to have, not a care in the world about it. Major inconvenience. Secondly - we were NEVER called after the potential buyer eventually called the sale off - it was ME that contacted YOU....after seeing that the car was STILL for sale online. Thirdly - The salesman we dealt with was never showed us other cars until AFTER the supposed potential customer came back from his "city scooter" parked street side...and claimed the vehicle with a mere $200 down via Venmo. Are you serious? We thought we were obviously being "hustled" by your lot!! And now you continue to lie & cover up the facts on this Google review... 🙄
