Taylor's Mexican Chili Parlor

Clean environment with knowledgeable, friendly waitstaff and great food. What else can you ask for?

Made the trip to Taylor's Chili after last visit 20 years ago. New location, North side of Square now. Chili was good, like I remembered, with suet, meat and beans. Service was lacking however, two servers for a packed lunch crowd. Took over 1/2 hour to get 2 bowls of chili. Also no distancing with tables, just pack em in. Overall disappointment.

I’ve been coming to Carlinville since I was a little guy and had never heard of Taylor‘s chili until about 10 or 15 years ago or so when I saw it on a national television show . I finally stopped in the last time I was there in January and bought some chili to go and a case to bring back to Colorado. I love it! I love the story and the history and the location in the historic town square. Two thumbs up! Great chili! Don’t ever change a thing.
