Blackberry Nature Trail

This trail has a well maintained, paved parking lot at the trail head. There is a bench at the beginning of the trail and stone markers along the trail. I was there last September and again today and the trail was well maintained both times. I hike a great deal on many Midwest trails and this is one of the easiest (zero elevation) trails I’ve been on. Perfect for kids and less stable hikers. I see negative comments here, but they do not reflect my experience. Nice little winter hike.

I loved the ease of this trail - especially for kids. I am sad it’s not being kept up. I’ve been once several years ago and it looks like no one has been keeping the paths, creek beds, bridges maintained for a few years (at least). It was still a nice walk and I’d take our small kids again. I am leaving this review in the hopes that the Army Corps of Engineers will clean up the path. It’s a loop which is a plus!
