A very small but well kept park. Interesting to stop and check out some local history that had larger statewide and beyond significance. There is a very nice semi-enclosed shelter that someone put a LOT of work into with calligraphy and portraits. I've driven past this attraction many times over a lot of years . Glad we stopped for once instead of thinking about being in a hurry.
A very pleasant and informative place to visit.
Chief Wapello is my 3rd Great Grandfather. So naturally this park and his resting place is an important part if my genealogy and proud to have such a person in my family!
Nice historical spot for all view.
