Pei's Mandarin Restaurant

What a great find! Wonderful menu selection. Beautiful large pieces of sushi-fresh-delicious. The gentleman that assisted me was amazing. He was very friendly and helpful, and suggested the tootsie roll-which is one of my top 3 I have ever eaten! I wish I had gotten his name so I could mention it-if he isn’t the owner or manager, he needs to be! Someone give this man a promotion! He was very warm and welcoming, and social while I waited for my sushi and roll. The fish is top notch, not at all what I expected to find off the highway across from my hotel. If I’m ever in the area again, I’m definitely going back!

Nice restaurant with good service. Good sushi. The food is good and in good portions. Good location near 33rd ave.nnWent back two years after my first review and not happy. I ordered mandarin chicken and it was dry. Not good. I remember how good it use to be and good seasoning. Now it’s so bland, just sweet. I ordered a spicy dish and it tasted sweet like lemon chicken. So disappointed. What happened to this place?

The sushi chef is awesome and the food is great! The sushi is the best I've had in the city of Cedar Rapids by far too. If you're here locally and like sushi, this is the place to go!

We regularly drive from the Quad cities to Cedar Rapids just to have sushi at Pei's. Best around!!!!!!

Tom is the best Chef we have ever had! He is very good at his job! Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar with Tom!
