I have never met a coach that is as amazing and knowledgeable as Phil! I've had to move to a different state and tried to work with so many other coaches but couldn't find someone this great. He is such a talented coach, doesn't just focus on teaching you how to lift but he just really knows how to work with athletes and meet people where they are. He knows exactly when to challenge you more and when to stop. He is well read and constantly works on expanding his knowledge. Always so kind and encouraging, you leave training sessions feeling great about yourself, even if you were not able to give your best that day because life happened. I've had experience with other coaches that just didn't care about my well-being and required best performance whether I came in sick/exhausted/sleep deprived, and that was so counterproductive. The positive environment that Phil fosters is such a blessing, especially when you have a busy/stressful schedule. I really wish we had one of him in every city! I highly recommend you do a nutrition consultation with him as well.

Phil and the Got Strength crew have been like family to me. Training is fun, focused and intentional with a heavy emphasis on movement quality. Phil is an expert in human movement and is one of the most well read, intelligent people I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. Whether you are a beginner looking for something fun to keep you active or a D1 prospect looking to up your game, I would highly recommend Got Strength Weightlifting.

Phenomenal Coaching! Awesome group from beginners to experienced lifters no person is left out! I haven’t ever seen a group that supports each more than Got Strength Weightlifting Club! You won’t find better in my opinion!!

Phil’s experience is second to none. The club boasts some of the best atmosphere and professionalism in the sport. Phil also has a wide range of experience with many athletes making this one of the best clubs for weightlifting.

Phil Johnson is an amazing coach!! Whether you are looking to gain strength, a healthier lifestyle or sports performance he can get you there. He is dedicated and passionate, knowledgeable and motivating. I highly recommend Got Strength Olympic Weightlifting Club. As a parent this is where you want your children to go and Phil is an great role model. He helps with all aspects of training!
