Wait staff did an outstanding job when we stopped by this morning. Drink glasses were never empty and they checked on us on a regular basis. Very friendly and professional. My wife had smoked turkey and brisket plate and I had brisket plate. Our sides were Mac and cheese and fries. We both agreed that for the meats, the sliced turkey was the best of the two meats. Extremely moist, cooked perfectly and outstanding flavor. The brisket plate I had, while had a decent flavor lacked any kind of seasoning (salt and pepper) and even though it was a very generous portion, alot of what I had was fat. Not the smoky, seared type but rather internal fat that I would have preferred not to have been there. But that being said, flavor was still decent. Mac and cheese was really creamy and smooth and again, large portion served. I would definitely recommend August's and we will return to try other meats also. Give them a shot!
