Dread River Distilling Company

Great spot in the Birmingham area for creative drinks and an upscale vibe. We tried drinks with their gin, whiskey, and blue agave (tequila)-- all very good! The presentations of the drinks are just as good as the beverages themselves with dried citrus rings, different shaped glasses, and a foamy top layer on two of the drinks (gin and juice as well as whiskey shrub). Felt like a Vegas vibe with the lush seating arrangements and sleek decor, but the staff was there with Southern friendliness and hospitality. We will be back!

Really cool spot in downtown Birmingham. It's enormous for a distillery woth a bar and tables for guests. They have a few selections of beer and whiskey. The whiskey was decent and the environment was very upscale. Plenty of room and did not feel over crowded. Music played and wasn't too loud. Overall great spot to have a drink and some finger food.

Tried the tasting and ended up buying all 5 spirits. Enjoyed the whiskey and gin the most. Wife liked the rum and the agave drinks she ordered. Vodka was good as well. Gin surprised me the most since that's not usually a spirit you can drink straight up and this one was excellent.

A wonderful experience overall. Definitely a must if you enjoy tequila (agave spirits) or a good bourbon. They seem to have the vision and the desire to put out quality product. After touring the facility, I am completely sold on my local distillery and will continue to support them and their future endeavors. Quality team, product, and experience. A solid 9/10 and would definitely recommend.
