Matas Greek Pizza

We went out to enjoy some pizza from this great establishment. The dining area was closed so we placed our order over the phone. We had to wait roughly 45 minutes which is not unreasonable for fresh pizza. The food is very good. They could improve the window pickup as it can be confusing .

My wife is from the Aniston area and was talking about how good the pizza at Matas was. Since it has been over 20 years since she has ate it we decided to make the hour and half drive from Rome. I was very skeptical about the white cheddar cheese on the pizza, but I was wrong! This was one of the best, if not the best, pizza I have ever ate! It was loaded with meat and top with more than enough white cheddar! Will definitely be making the trip again!

Best pizza in town love this place

So... This has to be the first time I've had a bad visit here. Anniston is my home town but I live in Florida and most the time when I come to visit family I'll order 2 large pizzas at $50. Tonight I called in and ordered 2 large meat lovers with extra cheese, got it home and there was no extra cheese and was a specialty pizza. Absolutely not what I ordered!! For starts whom ever answered the phone gave me a price for just one pizza when I asked for 2, then didn't give me a estimated time to come get them as they normally do. So after giving me the price hangs up. So after that I should have checked the pizzas at the window but didn't. My fault I guess cause I wasn't about to wait another HR for them to make the right pizzas. I just know from now on I will be checking!!
