WONDERFUL!!! A great place to be! You are accepted for who you are...no matter what you believe. You can have many discussions with very open-minded, kind and loving people. Very progressive and pro-active. A historic building that has solar panels!
What a welcoming congregation! Truly, everyone is welcome there. When I moved to Marietta, a few years ago, I didn't know anyone in town. But through FUUSM, I have made so many friends! I feel like I belong here.
I grew up in this congregation and for the region, it's one the most welcoming churches I think you will find, regardless of prior or current religious affiliation/worldview/gender/sexual and gender identity, etc. There's something for everyone seeking community and faith here and hosts a variety of area events, such a soup kitchen, garden tour, and most recently visiting Tibetan monks.
Wonderful inclusive place to be. Check it out. This week we had the Tibetan monks meditate a Mandala Sand Painting in our sanctuary
