A nice little establishment serving hot dogs, made pretty much any way you can dream up. They have fries. mushrooms and other sides to go with the hot dogs, and root beer to wash it down. They lost one star due to value compared to price. The product, and portions, are a bit small when you factor in the cost.nnI will visit again.

Talk about a selection of Hot Dogs, 33 to be exact!!!! My husband & I had a hard time narrowing down or picks. I loved the Spicy Cheryl & the West Virginia. My husband loved the Sweet Cheryl & the West Virginia. We will definitely be back with our kiddos so they can experience The Root Beer Shack too. Plus we have 30 other kinds of hot dogs yet to try!! Awesome owner & great staff!

Came up on The Root Beer Shack completely unexpectedly and am so so glad that I did. I ordered the Mexican dog, slaw dog, and fried pickle chips with ranch. The buns were buttered and toasted PERFECTLY. Toppings incredible and you can't beat the price. Absolutely recommend.

Amazing owner and employees. They have the best, unusual and tasty hot dogs anywhere. All the food is made fresh and is the prices are low. Law enforcement/Fire/EMS/Front line worker friendly. Always packed and everyone is so friendly. Reminds you of an old country restaurant where the employees remember you and are actually friendly instead of the attitude/rush you get at other places. Try out the unusual hot dogs like a peanut butter dog, pizza dog, bacon dog and too many other to remember. Some may sound strange but give them a try!

I love this Hot Dog and Root beer shack in Parkersburg WV and highly recommend it and will definitely be going back!!!nThere is NO dining inside right now due to Covid-19 but you can call ahead or just show up at drive thru and that's what I donThere are so many hot dog Varieties to chose from...but I go with the Sweet SOS and Spicy SOS with a large frothy root beer to go.nThey serve them ENGLISH Bun style and the chili or sauce as some call it is killer. I like both, the sweet and the spicy...nThey also have dogs with peanut butter...I am not brave to try it yet but cashier says they sell a lot of them!!!! Now me, a lot of peanut butter on hot dogs would be to sell one, so not sure if her and my standards are the same!!!nIf in the area, google map directions...and thank me later!!!!
