Really nice space right in the city. For those who dont know it is mainly setup as a mountain bike trail course. Several narrow winding trails weaving in and out of a few large wide trails. Beautiful and really nice, but plan to get muddy and wander for a little bit.
As a child I haunted the City Park, especially in the summertime. We got summer passes to the pool and we were there every day. The 4th of July is the best time to be at the park. It is terribly crowded. An historically wonderful display that is sure to please. Now there are festivals regularly, Harvest Moon, a multicultural festival, a honey bee festival and many more. An historic lodge, a veteran's memorial and shelters for a picnic. At Christmas there is a display of decorative lights all over the place and they add something new every year. What is not to like at the park? Baseball, tennis jogging, swimming, a walk around the pond or just go fishing. There's always something.

So nice to be able to get out in nature, right in town. Trails are fairly easy. Really enjoyable!
As close as you can get to feeling like your in the woods without leaving town. It gets sloppy when it rains but otherwise it's pretty cool. I hope the city keeps up with it.
