Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport (KPUJ)

We used this airport recently (all brand new facilities and easy to access). The airport is within 20 minutes of much of Cobb County and only 35 minutes from downtown Atlanta.nnThey recently changed the name to Silver Comet Field in honor of the the Silver Comet Trail that passes close by.nnThe airport staff that assisted us were some of the most professional and friendly people we have ever encountered. Although we do not recall last names...Ed and Joe were there to assist us and actually stayed late to make sure our arrival went smoothly.nnWhile there we were thrilled to find out that within the next year commercial airline service will begin and that makes this an even more attractive facility. Our company is considering a move into the Paulding County area. Having commercial service makes this a far more compelling location.nnThere are inexpensive hotels within about 10 minutes of the airport along with most national chain restaurants and retail. Enterprise Rent-A-Car provides a full selection of vehicles and is extremely responsive.nnThis airport, the people who work there and the local companies that support it make Paulding County.

What a gem of a find! And so sad locals are trying to play it down.nHad corporate folks fly in for a one day meeting. Everyone was impressed with ease of travel - both flying and local driving. GREAT OPPORTUNITY for smart (and respectful) development.

Seems too far from anywhere.
