We really enjoyed our experience here. Everything was cooked just right and service was great too. Ordered half chicken and ribs, and both were really good. Also got spaghetti and chicken soup for our child, both were great. Our server was very quick and attentive. The covid procedures were properly executed. The dining room has a gorgeous view, there is also an observation deck right outside to enjoy it. Outside sitting is also available. We were pleasantly surprised with this location, to be honest, a lot of times places of this nature, something in the middle of nowhere, don’t have quality food or service, but this has both and a beautiful location to enjoy

As a wedding gift, my husband and I were given a gift card for a stay and dinner at a WV State Park. We visited Black Water Falls. We ate dinner at the Smokehouse and they refused to take our gift card as payment for dinner, but said that we could come back and use it for breakfast the next day with no explanation. I called the park office in Charleston and was told that there was no reason that they could not have taken the gift card for payment for dinner. I was contacted by the restaurant and told that we could come back for a free dinner. The park is 3 1/2 hours from where we live. The food definitely was not good enough for that long of a drive. I was told that I would be contacted by email. I have not received an email from the restaurant nor I have I received a gift card for a free dinner. We spent $30 for a hamburger and pretzel sticks. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. If you stay at Black Water Falls, eat somewhere else.

We enjoyed our meal here. The staff practiced decent COVID procedures. My ribs were nicely cooked with good flavor. Service was adequate if a bit rushed.

After a morning out walking and enjoying the falls, the food and view here really hit the spot! The waitress was attentive and very kind, and the food was great. I substituted out french fries for mozzarella sticks. They were homemade and the breading was delicious, which made me wonder what I'd missed out on by passing up the fries. The riblet basket was great, a perfectly sized portion for lunch.

Staff was very brusque. Drive by waitressing and cashier. Ordered their chicken Alfredo. It was said to come with broccoli. This plate costs close to twenty bucks. I got 3 cold broccoli. The chicken was dry and lukewarm. The pasta was less warm than that. There was no flavor. It wasn’t cheesy. Was not worth the price and nearly worst pasta dish I have had in a restaurant. They were good enough to replace the dish and comped the bill for the Alfredo.
