Mid- Oct., 2020: Beautiful area with the leaves drifting down like snowfall! Unusually warm for fall - so peaceful & amazing people camping here. 2 decent potties and Capon Springs resort nearby for free natural water.

This campground is awesome! There is AT&T reception for sure at site 12. It fills up on the weekends but thins out during the week. Maximum allowed stay is 21 days. No water but can get it at Capon Springs. No electricity. Lots of hiking and the leaves are beautiful this Fall!

No one else there. So peaceful. Found this puffball fungus in the middle of a trail.

Second year in a row going, enjoyable as always. You really get the sense that you're far from home and away from civilization. Has a water pump and two men and women restrooms, bring your own hand sanitizer if you want to clean hands after using them. For it being a completely free campground, you really can't complain! It's a wonderful place!
