Small park tucked away but so rich in history. Enjoyed my visit there.
Best stone ever. It's a rock. Supposedly the little trickle is the headwaters of the Potomac. No restroom.
I don't hate the place, but I do dislike the overwhelming number of pictures that seem to have nothing to do with this monument, or the area in general. The last time I checked, Maryland and West Virginia do not have Mountains with glaciers, sea turtles, or Gila Monsters. Please keep the pictures relevant (some of Backbone Mountain, the Nancy Hanks Sign, or Tygart Valley Reservoir; would be nice).nnI also did not include an Ohio Site, because I was afraid calling attention fo it might lead to its being vandalized; such is the country we live in now.
Very interesting historical location, tucked away and forgotten not far from Thomas, WV.
Very neat historical landmark. Paved road to get there.
