Red Creek is peaceful and beautiful with lovely babbling brook sounds. Many places around to set up a tent is you're overnighting it.
Great hiking all around the area. Dolly Sods wilderness - hundreds of trails.
Great campsite just across the Red Creek. Even included a bench made of flagstones that sits next to the fireplace. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5-stars is the tree roots everywhere.....makes it hard to find a flat spot for the tent.
Found a flat grassy spot for tent close to to the creek.. very peaceful
Massive rattlesnake was found in our campsite here.
