Audra is a beautiful little WV Park. We took an early spring hike on the Alum Cave Trail, which runs along the river at two different elevations. The trail has a wooden boardwalk that traverses under a rock outcropping and a set of wooden stairs. It can become slippery when wet, but the scenery is world class. The trail has several bowling ball size rocks and roots to navigate as well.
The view was just breath taking, their was still ice on some of the rivers , the streams were crystal clear blue waters and great hiking. Beautiful mountains very colorful rocks I might add. I highly recommend this place for a vacation. And there are not very many people there.
Gorgeous and we'll maintained park. Very low crowds. Didn't realize everything was still closed for winter, but it was a great day out. Bring a picnic and don't give up on the trail. It IS a loop.
