I love this little park. It's a peaceful, precious, little of pocket of nature just feet away from busy Guadalupe. If there's water flowing in the stream you might see little fish or a snake swimming upstream (see photo). Birds are everywhere. Cicadas sing their little hearts out in the summer. I work nearby and like to escape here on my lunch breaks here when I can. My mood improves and my anxiety decreases when I'm here. This place is the best.
I love Hemphill Park. It is the grandest area of Austin - simple, prestigious and within distance of the resonance of the UT Tower bells.
This is a great little spot to walk your dog. It's more of a stretch of grass surrounding a creek in the middle of the neighborhood than it is an actual park. It spans two or three blocks and allows for some good running space for your dog. You'll see lots of people out with their kids or pups!
Cute neighborhood park but not enough benches and no tables.
A wonderful, quiet, central north Austin park to walk, play, and sometimes nap. I walk miles of it daily.
