This is an excellent family park but families just have to be careful with younger children. There are many rock hazards. The park has great trails, clean restrooms, playground, grilling areas, and just overall great nature. We didn't get to visit the campground but it would get a great weekend getaway. The boat ramp was closed when we visited.
Place is nice but not so much to do. I wished there were more sand at the beach ⛱. They need to work on making this beautiful park look nicer and add more area for the picnics and sports activities like beach volleyball ud83cudfd0, since they charge for the daily visits, camping and boating. Water level looks way lower than it used to be. There was warning about harmful algal blooms, they are urging everyone not to allow your dog to play or eat the algae in the lake because Cyanotoxins can be harmful to dogs and other animals when ingested.
fun place to camp, its also very clean.nIt had the bare essentials like a bathroom with a shower, water pump at camp and a electric box with normal plugs for small things and big plugs for big things.nthe lake is pretty and good for fishing and the trails are nice.
Ok, this is like visiting a resort style park. The sites are huge, perfectly layer out and flat with crushed granite, fire rings and heavy duty grills with lids. The showers were recently painted and so clean. We walked along the lake, and took the trails... one of the trails have rubber like chips that would be perfect for running or a wheelchair... we saw deer running by too. Staff were so friendly. It was so nice... it's like a local little secret... can't wait to come back
Plentiful short walks/hikes. Great playground. Fishing is better in the cove where there's no wind or waves from the boats.
