Abilene has some pretty nice parks. The city has spent lots of money updating most of them. I like C.W.Gill because usually there aren't a whole lot of people there. My 2 son's have their choice of what to play on. Also it is in a pretty quite area.

Pretty nice playground. A few picnic tables and well-maintained trash cans. No restroom. Large grass areas for playing games and picnics. Just watch out for the prickle burrs!
