This was my first time to a park in this area. We really enjoyed hiking some of the trails. We happened to be there at sunset and it was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. So many trails to hike there. Some are along side the large lake. Made for some beautiful scenery.
Great park, very minimal parking
Get ready for some walking! Some terrain may have pedestrians thinking its sort of difficult to get around. They have different mile goals to accomplish. There were people who slipped so bring good shoes.
Loved it. Went on a 2hr hike, amazing scenery especially by the water. Saw turtles and beautiful high cliff views are breath taking. One with nature and not a care in the world!
Went for a hike on the Northwest Loop last Monday. Beautiful views! It was extremely busy, but enjoyable still. Plenty of rest areas along the trails, including some off-the-trail scenic views of Eagle Mountain Lake. Great for spotting wildlife like deer, various birds, etc.nnFor the most part, the trails were pretty easy to follow, but there aren't really many trail markers outside of the rest areas. I ended up veering off the trail by mistake a few times. Still, I plan to go back and hike the other trails as well.
