The Cut - Azle

The cut or as my family calls it...”Shelby’s Place” always does a great job. Though they are not a barber shop it certainly has that barber appeal. Shelby cuts mine and my 3 boys hair and it’s always an enjoyable experience. It has been really nice to see her start off and grow into such an amazing small business with a fantastic client base.. “The Cut” is certainly becoming a staple for our little Main Street here in Azle.

Leaving here very upset. This establishment tries to advertise themselves as a men’s barber shop. By the end of my haircut, the woman was apologizing to me and told me she wasn’t a real barber. The haircut was decent, but my appointment was for a haircut/ shampoo with a neck shave and mustache trim. I asked for a fade and for her to style me a handlebar mustache. It was clear she did not know how to style a handlebar mustache. They have a picture of a mustache on the window and didn’t even have the proper wax to use on my facial hair? Not only did she not wash my hair, but she trimmed my beard with clippers and then acted like the haircut was over? My appointment was for a neck shave? Since when does that mean with clippers and not a straight razor at a location that caters to men? They were busy, but that’s not my fault. I booked an appointment with the specified services and was happy to pay for them. When I saw people lining up, I understood they were busy and was going to tip well for her time. Instead, she told me she couldn’t give me a straight razor shave (even though there was one sitting at her station and she did my neck) because she “wasn’t a barber.” Is anyone here actually a barber? Why have these services available to book if you can’t do them? I paid for the services she actually completed and even gave her a small tip, but won’t be going back unless someone cares enough to make this right. Embarrassing for myself and the girl cutting my hair. I had to go home and fix my mustache the way I wanted it and finish shaving. Im really not that picky, I just like getting all the services I plan in my appointment. Never thought that was too much to ask.

I went and Stephanie did my cut. She did an amazing job. Very attentive and was able to achieve the look I was going for in a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Great place with no complaints. If you need a cut, shave, trim this is the place to do it. Shelbi and Steph take care of you.

Stopped in on friday at 2 pm. Sign on the door said at lunch until 2:30. I waited. Went in and was told she had a 2:30 appointment. I waited. Watched her do more talking than cutting and left. Stopped in again on tuesday. Got there at 2 pm again. Sign on the door said at lunch until 3:45. Went somewhere else to get my hair cut.
