After 1 year of renting a unit, price went up $10. Then i'm informed that this facility no longer has 24 hour access. The 24 hour access is the ONLY reason I picked this place. Now they close at 8pm! Seriously? Why not 10pn? This place isn't all that for the rent increase and very limited access.
Terrible experience with this storage facility! Owner did not protect my property from rat infestation and has been totally unresponsive. I attempted to contact them multiple times, including in writing regarding the rat infestation and they have ignored all my attempts. They also have ignored all attempts from the Better Business Bureau and Texas Attorney General’s office regarding this issue. I rented a unit at that facility for 18 months. My furniture was “like new” when stored there. When I came back to Waco to move out of my unit, there were rat droppings all over the floor, my stacked boxes, my clothes, my shoes, and my furniture. My couch, which was wrapped in cellophane was chewed through and there was rat urine spots and feces all over it. I spent over $1700 on rent and insurance, and I lost over $3000 of “like new” belongings due to rat damage.nThe insurance they offer DOES NOT COVER RODENT DAMAGE. They are selling you insurance they know does not cover the very problem they failed to prevent while my property was in their possession. Why are they not offering better coverage, or better yet, why didn’t they do anything about their rodent problem or be fair about my belongings being ruined in their facility due to no fault of my own?
Had placed my reservation a week in advance and were supposed to have a truck for me, but they didn’t have the truck because the person didn’t return it. They said that it was only 45 minutes ago but at least they should have alerted me or called me or got the guy to stay in the office. I drove all the way to their business (a long drive) for them to tell me that they did not have my truck available, and the rest had their check engine lights on.
