An amazing work out. It's kinda hidden away and not many people know about it. If you are near the area, definitely worth the stop and hike up the ladder. Or you can have a nice scenic walk down by the river. Either way a great park to be at.nnWe went there just in a whim during our road trip and was impressed with the area. After the climb we went for a little hike on the trail below along the river.nnPS: The stairs are not that bad to climb.

This made my thighs hurt! Don't take your tiny children, I saw a small person fall and bust their nose! The stairs are steep, I started from the bottom then went up and back down. Probably better than down then up - which is the challenge lol. This was fun and it was nice being by the river

So, it’s a stairway. Be aware that some of the steps are very tall, and the railings are a bit shaky in spots. If you have bad knees, the descent might be tough. It is pretty and is a great workout. I felt it after one trip up and down, but several younger, fitter whipper-snappers were going back-and-forth, drenched in sweat. Worth checking out if you are in the park.

Going up is breath taking. Plus there is a playground up top for your kids. Going down is a lot easier. We will be going there again.

This is a great place to get some serious exercise. Part of Cameron Park which is a great park space and Waco. Very steep climb, but worth the walk. Get out and enjoy this entire park, it’s a great place to take a hike, and visit the site.
