Drove all the way down here and the gate is closed and locked and requires a pass. Not comfortable leaving my car on the side of the road. Wish there was more information up front about recreating at this location.
Be prepared it's very wild, but lots to see not just birds
We saw so many beautiful, colorful birds today! It was my first time and I can’t wait to go back. Lots of mosquitoes, of course.
My husband and I love birding, especially during spring migration and Sabine Woods is always a good bet to see migrating warblers. It's a small patch of woods with a small swampy pond but worth it's weight in gold. Give it a try!!
One of the best bird viewing locations in the area. Well maintained paths. Three drop viewing locations. Underbrush trimmed to make spotting birds easier.
