H&R Block

It was a very pleasant and stress free experience. Very helpful, kind and professional personnel. I utilized the drop off information and verify document/tax submittal via email. Everything went very smoothly.

Do NOT go here. I applied for the emerald advance back in December. It's supposed to be for $500, they immediately took out their portion of $45. I received $400 on my emerald card that day and the remaining $55 the next day. But I received a bill in the mail saying I need to pay them back $528 for the advance after they already took a cut of it anyways. Also, do not file your taxes through them expecting the advance of YOUR own money. They say you can get up to $3,500 in minutes but they dont tell you that it's not guaranteed. My lady went through the entire process and submitted my taxes (which was $400 to file) just to tell me she had no clue if I would get the advance of MY OWN money or how long it would take. The bank can either approve or deny you for it. Which in my case I ONLY filed through them TO GET the advance. I just wasted $400 for them to do my taxes just to be denied an advance on my own money. I will NEVER go to H&R Block again!
