Great value simply because of the shower and restroom area, definitely worth it compared to primitive campsites. The provided firepits are nice and convenient but not optimal for fires, I recommend bringing a shovel to dig an air trench under the sides. Your experience will vary somewhat depending on the camp hosts for your area, some are very welcoming and friendly while others seem to be annoyed at the idea of helping their campers. Still recommend it as a great place to camp for a hunting trip or getaway.
Beautiful quiet camping area with very open and spread out campsites. Great fishing, caught several catfish and a couple small bass. Very well stocked. Camp host were very nice and friendly. Largest disappointment was that access to the old saw mill is closed for safety reasons due to spillway construction.
Really quite. And beautiful. But not a whole lot for the kiddies to do.
Very nice camp ground. I got there late and ended up setting up tents on the loop. Was very quiet, except for the coyotes. The bathrooms were clean.
Nice quiet get away.nAn absolute amazing place to relax. The park offers an amazing adventure for anyone seeking outdoor activities. A designated swimming area, good fishing, hiking trails, and camping for anyone wanting to stay the night. The day use area is full of picnic tables and grills. The grounds are well kept and maintained. Restrooms and bath houses are clean. The bath house closest to my campground had individual rooms instead of having stalls for your privacy; it was like having your own personal bathroom. The scenery is very beautiful and with a nice fishing lake that welcomes kayaks and boats it is easy to loose yourself here. If I had to find anything to complain about here it would be that I wished they would allow the underbrush to grow between the campsites to allow for more privacy and a better connection to nature. However, the campsite are spacious and you don't feel like fellow campers are staying on top of you. This is definitely my top pick for camping.
