The food was quick and service was great, but everything on my plate was bland, just missing salt in the mashed potatoes, on the fish. I am sure they may have better tasting options. I saw what looked like good breakfast plates coming out as well as milkshakes. I was getting my windshield replaced down the street, so it was a nice place to walk over and try.

Update: The owner reached out to me and asked that I give them another chance. I went in tonight and the service was outstanding. The food was good as well. After my meal, I spoke with the owner and informed her that this experience was a complete opposite from the first. I recommend this place if you want an old style cafe.nnOriginal review: Extremely poor service. Our waitress actually forgot about us after taking our drink order. We never received our drinks and we weren't spoken to again. I can't review the food, because after being ignored for more time than I was comfortable with, I was never asked for my order. Save yourself some trouble and go elsewhere.

Waitresses were very kind and sweet. They made sure my family had everything we needed. Food came out very fast, and very fresh. 10/10. Would give 6 stars if I could. Will definitely be bringing my family back for more!!

Oooh yeah!! This place is the REAL DEAL!! Po' folks Cafe has down home food made by down home folks. Goulash, meatloaf and chicken and dumplings are just a few of the treasures. Please don't tell them but the prices are too low for the quality and quantity of food you receive.
