Great boutique store with high quality outdoor gear that doubles as everyday gear. They stock excellent brands and have their own cool designs for tshirts and other goods. While mostly clothing and accessories, they also carry small amounts of quality outdoor hardware. It's not a one stop shop for a family camping trip, but it is the first and last place to shop to get great clothing, packs, and last minute items to make your experience more enjoyable.
Love this gem! Would buy pretty much all of their gear if I could afford it- a perfect mix of daily life meets rugged outdoors. So happy I can find brands I love (Cotopaxi) for sale at a local-owned shop!
I’ve gotten so many goodies from Wandering Star! I use my Kavu bag everyday for everything from cycling and hiking to running errands. With the help of Kevin, my partner was able to find me the perfect little pocket knife. And a friend of mine ended up getting the same one! Love their National Park candles and little home nicknacks. Love this store. A great small business in the middle of my neighborhood in the Heights. I've been able to find gifts for my family and some fun stuff for me as well. I appreciate that they work with other small businesses as well. Super unique and the staff has always been so helpful.
