Dow Park is a great place to take the kiddos to for some fun. The playground could use just a tiny bit of TLC is a couple spots, but for the most part, it is plenty safe and functional. There are also restrooms (a big plus) and a splash pad nearby. There is also pavilion close by with plenty of seating if you wish to picnic and continue playtime for the kids. There is a nice trail for walkers with plenty of shade along the path. You know what, there is just a lot out at this park. Most people in Deer Park know it because events happen all the time in the park and the community center and community pool are right there. I subtracted a star because there used to be two playground, albeit the second one was very tiny, but the took it out and didn't expand the bigger one any. Sometimes I just wish the second playground could have been expanded on to give kids a little more adventure and choice.
Nice winding walking trail that weaves around soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, gazebos and sand volleyball courts. Deer Park is currently in the process of tearing down the old bridges to build new ones but this is a lovely area to walk, have family picnics, or even play sports.
Great place for Pokemon Go. Two gyms and many pokestops. Lots of concrete walks and a one mile track with gravel and dirt that goes around the whole park (1/4 mile markers too). A playground with rubber ground covering under the slide and climbing apparatus.and wood chips under the swings.
Lived in Deer Park my entire childhood. This park has grown over the years and the city has taken great care of it. Perfect place to take your kiddos, or have a birthday party!!!
Good park. Usually pretty clean. Smokers on the walkways suck, but Idk how they'd enforce it
