Lovely school. We love the Montessori method and philosophy, my son loved it here. He definitely gained so much from attending (in social skills and academic). We only left due to moving. We loved all the outdoor time, varied activities, education, and that there is no TV. I like that the teachers are engaged and not busy making worksheets/progress reports for the parents. They keep the ratios low and are all so loving to the kids. They also are always willing to talk and work out issues. They were even accommodating of us using cloth diapers. My son attended from age 18 months to 3 years (occasionally they take them younger then 2, but I think this has more to do with filling spots when they need to--developmentally, Montessori is probably better for 2+, as it usually is).

We started our 3 and 4 year olds at this school in August. It was a bit of a rough start for my 4 year old, with some of the other kids not being so nice... Problems did get resolved after about 2 weeks, and now my children love it here! There are days when they tell me I came to get them too early, cuz they don't want to leave!nI love that they get to play outside a lot, sometimes they eat lunch outside too. They definitely learn a lot, they sing a lot, and my 4 year old has started to learn multiplication already!nThe kids are happy there, they like going there and they do learn a lot. Prices are towards the higher end, but there are places way more expensive too. And I feel like the quality of care is worth the price here.

My daughter attended Friendswood Montessori school when she was 3 until she started kindergarten. She was almost 6 when she started kindergarten (October birthday), so she was there awhile. We loved it! She was reading by age 4 and learned so much. She not only learned educationally, but also socially and physically. This is where she learned monkey bars and swinging as well. I loved all the outside play, piano time, and no TV. Great, great school!
