I am a huge advocate for supporting small businesses and would have loved to give a good review. However, I must share my honest experience. I ordered a custom tie dye Chanel t-shirt and specified the kind of logo I wanted on my shirt (they had a drip Chanel logo or a classic logo). The service was quick, friendly and efficient when they wanted to make the sale but after they received my money it felt like it was no longer about serving the customer. I received my order in the mail to find that I received my shirt with the exact drip Chanel logo I specifically said I did not want. I immediately messaged them on Instagram because this is where I had been communicating and they read my message short after and ignored it. This is really what disappointed me. They no longer needed to help me, they got their money and were done. The next day, I messaged again expressing my disappointment because I was very excited to receive the order I specifically specified that I wanted. They responded apologizing, giving a personal excuse for the mistake and saying that they would send me an exchange packing slip so I could ship back the shirt and could not mail the correct shirt until they had received the shirt I had gotten. This also made me feel undervalued as a customer because it was as if they were distrustful of me like I was taking advantage of them and if something were to happen to it in the mail, then that’s on me I guess. No compensation for their mistake was offered. I ended up not following through with an exchange because I decided I no longer wanted any communication with RichGirl’s Boutique and that the logo would just have to do. I felt the treatment I had received was all about making the sale and not about valuing customer support, providing excellent service all while building a good relationship to make them return and refer their friends. UPDATE: after reading my experience above they quickly reached out to me and offered me a full refund for my purchase or to receive the correct shirt as well as sincerely apologizing as they have been short of staff during the pandemic.
