Walmart Auto Care Centers

I will never get my tires changed at a Walmart ever again. Here’s what happened:nn-got all 4 tires changed on my only day off after scheduling an appointmentn-drove to work the next day and the “Check TPMS (Tire Pressure Management Sensor) System” light came on.n-I pulled over to at least confirm all my tires had proper air pressure until I could come back to Walmart, and the plastic hub cap was covering the air connection on my front right tire! It’s literally hard to put the hub cap on when the air connection is in the way, so this is pretty incompetent.n-I go to a closer Walmart the next day and they say the front left tire doesn’t even have a TPMS sensor! (2 mistakes on one car).n-I call the original store and have to explain this story about 5 times over the next several weeks. At one point they say I need to bring the car in so they can see what kind of sensor it needs, so they can order it, then I’ll have to come back again for them to install it.n-I call back again today to arrange for this to happen, and Jean basically says it’s a universal sensor and we have them and we can get it installed. This blew my mind.n-I immediately go there and tell them to install the sensor and fix the hub cap on the front right tire.n-they fix it in about an hour and I checked the hub caps before I left and this time they put the hub cap blocking the front left tire!n-I tell them and they fix it while I start writing this review.

Took about 3 hours to change my tires then guy couldn't handle the job then ended up messing up the rubber on the tire and hitting his head with a crow bar and had to wait 30mins for him to get out the restroom. Glad the other guy came in and took over.

This was my third trip to the auto center here in 1 week.n- First time, I showed up a little over a hour to closing time and they refused to do my tire repair, but decided to do my oil change. It took over a hour and a half for them to tell me that they can’t remove my oil filter and that I needed to go somewhere else. A shop the next day had no issue removing it. Wasted almost 2 hours to have no service done.n- 2nd visit was to try to get the tire repair done, but still couldn’t be completed due to having to order the tire, which is okay. The tire was ordered and delivered quick thanks to Jean. (within 1 day).n- 3rd visit was to finally get this tire repair done. There was one car in front of me already being worked on and it took nearly 3 hours to finish theirs and finish my one tire. 3. Hours.nnThe techs and ladies inside were extremely nice, but it would’ve been nice to be informed about an extensive wait prior to checking in. They always seem to be short staffed and there also seems to be some miscommunication between some of the staff. I was told by a tech that my tire was a 7 on Friday, then it magically turned into a 5 less than 24 hours later (tire was in Walmart’s possession), and then I was charged as a 4. Not cool.

Normally most Wal-Mart services can be hit or miss. These guys went out of their way to help me and our family after we blew a tire. It was a few minutes to close and they took great care of us, even helped me save a few bucks, i was so pleased with them.

Different employees had different understandings about the service I requested, but the lady at the service desk helped me get everything straightened quickly
