E & M Paint And Drywall

The sole operator of this business, Sam, is extremely unprofessional. I called to ask if he services my area, which is 35 minutes south of College Station, and after SENDING HIM THE ADDRESS he said YES, so we arranged for him to come out in a few days to repair some drywall. I split my time in another city 2 hours away, so I made a special trip there solely to get this work done. Well, he calls 30 minutes before our scheduled time, and he says “sorry, I didn’t realize you were so far away, I can’t do this job.” Seriously? After asking him days in advance if he could come out this far, and even after CONFIRMING WITH HIM THE DAY BEFORE, he decided to tell us at the last minute that he couldn’t do it. He was too lazy and irresponsible to even bother looking up our address. What was even the point of asking in advance? Then he offered to still do the job, but he’d have to double the price ($500 for a small drywall patch). Absolutely unbelievable how undependable some people can be. Maybe he should have just made good with his word, since it was his mistake, so that he might learn from his mistake of telling someone he can come out without looking up someone’s address? I guess that’s beyond his morals. I just feel sorry for Sam’s poor character. He wasted 4 hours of my time and a tank of gas, but no loss to him! Well, I hope this review persuades at least one other person to look elsewhere.nnEdit: The owner’s response of “wasn’t able to locate the residence” is a LIE, and even if it were true, is a poor excuse! He had PLENTY of time and multiple opportunities to sort that out if that was the case, but instead waited until the scheduled time. It also conflicts with his other excuse “that it’s too far away to be worth it, I’d have to charge you double.”

Very satisfied with the work from E&M. I removed a built-in entertainment system and needed the large wall cavity closed in. Sam with E&M did the framing, drywalling and texturing. It looks fantastic. It's as if the built-in was never there.nnI reached out to half a dozen other local companies, but I was very pleased with how quickly E&M responded. I was really happy with the communication and professionalism too. If I ever need drywall repaired again, I'll have E&M do the repairs.
