I see a lot of hate comments on this business, but let’s be real here. Corey wood is a great dude. I started working for him nearly when he started in Texas, if I ever needed anything he was there, money was always right! I mean all he asked of me was to do my job. I did I showed up when I was suppose to and ran loads! If I needed a day off I let him know in advance and everything was ok! Seems to me these negative reviews come from lazy drivers!

This company has vilated the federal worker adjustment and retraining notification Act, 29 U.S.C. Laying off several employees without an advanced notice. Corey Woods isn't answering or returning these families calls that were waiting for their last pay check. Woods said the company was moving to Midland so people in the area be aware of this low standard trucking company. All the reviews had some truth to them obviously.

Very shady and Horrible company to work for. Does not follow dot regulations but will blame driver for any and every company fault , does not give a true 25% will give what they think you deserve for the day, does not give you a break down of loads so the owner (corey wood) can pinch of the top then pay you what he thinks you deserve,forced dispatch( mon-sat ) , trucks are in very bad shape will do very little or just enough maintenance to keep trucks running but will blame driver for anything wrong with truck ( will also threaten you and try to make you pay for damages caused by lack of pm maintenance ), mechanics do not know what they are doingnnDO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY NO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THREATEN AND TREATED LIKE YOUR NOTHING BUT A WARM BODY IN THE SEATnnYOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

The drivers speed like crazy, doing 15-20 over inside the city. Extremely unsafe. Don’t use this company.

This company will take money off the top of your pay and are not honest about it.nnThis company run by Cory woodnIs one of the worst companies I have ever driven for.nFirst of all they take out 8% of your check to feed the dispatcher - owner of HEC. A company high standard leases trucks too. Cory doesn’t even know how much his trucks make. Who has ever heard of that ? All Owner operators will not move there trucks until they have a confrontation of pay for load.nnShawn of HEC is a great guy and is most respectfully until he has a bipolar attack. Then all hell will breaks out.nThey, high standard and HEC. Have some of the worse equipment never repairing it on a timely manner causing drivers to take days off without pay!!nTry them out if you love pain and heart break.nnwhere and can we find good o/o to work for
