Surfside Beach

One here today with a couple of friends and it was very nice. Parking was cheap and it was very easy to find a spot on the beach. The beach was very nice and clean and the people around us were nice, when we got our tires stuck in the sand someone came and helped us. I loved it and I'm definitely going to come here again with my family!

Nice day nice breeze nice people no sharks flying packs of pelicans the usual sea birds a place or two to eat overlooking the beach porta potties parking on the beaches $12 or you can park for free adjacently.nDidn't go in the water was told that it was cold about 12 degrees below normal swimming pool temperature.nAll in all, a nice walk down the beach for an hour. It looks to be several miles long in case your legs are better than mine.nI've certainly seen better beaches but after a year of indoors it felt flat out wonderful.

Great to drive to the sand and let the kids play at the beach. A good spot to fly a kite or build a sand castle, in addition to enjoying the waves. There is a bit of seaweed and feels like that almost year round... Mostly clean and watch out for the occasional speeding 4 wheelers.

Cars can drive onto the beach for $12 a car (as of March 2021), entry is free on foot. The beach is separated, cars go to the left of the beach and pedestrians go to the right. The Beach is not particularly wide, especially at high tide. The shore seems fairly gradual.nOverall it's a fine beach, slightly run down area but none the less enjoyable for a day.

Great beach. Clean. Very busy, but expected. $12 pass is good January to December. The beach goes for miles. One way traffic (headed northeast) the rental golf carts don't seem to observe the one way traffic.
