If you're looking for history it's out here. If you're looking for fast play, open fairways, and top notch country club play... this is not the place. Every golfer and their grandparents come out to play this beautiful historic course. It is a true gem of golf. The oldest public golf course in Texas. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson and the list goes on who have graced this course with their presence. Do not expect to come out here and chop away with no concern. It is tight. It requires skill. You will literally see the group ahead of you 13 times playing the front 9. This course was not designed for the average weekend golfer. It was designed for accuracy and courtesy. Some weekends, you will run into every golf club in central Texas having a tournament. It happens on a legendary course like this. So if you're looking for sprawling fairways and views of golf heaven and hill country backgrounds, this is not for you. This place is for golfers who appreciate tradition, etiquette, and love for the game. Many legends have played here and it deserves to be respected that way. Play a La Cantera course if you're looking for modern play and breath taking views. Brackenridge is about tradition and history. Respect it and enjoy it's story.

Classic golf course just outside of downtown San Antonio. Its a short narrow course that forces you to make shots to avoid the trees lining the fairways. Its a great place to play with historical significance.

On the positive side, we completed 18 holes in around 3:15. However I’m sorry to say that I found the course to be in poor condition. Bald spots on greens, fairways with only minimal grass, rough mostly bare dirt. Many of the bunkers with standing water. A nice course to play...but sad to see poor condition of the course....perhaps it’s the time of year ???? Also no starter to be seen at beginning of round (but we got off on time)

Ol' Brack. Beautiful course in town and the flagship mini. Solid clubhouse. Narrow fairways on the front 9 and tricky holes throughout. A must play in San Antonio.
