Capt. Ken’s at Bridge Harbor

Fried to perfection!!!!nGreat people, great new atmosphere, And I will continue to come to this place. Capt. Kens food has not changed, it’s still the best seafood around our area!

Atmosphere is beautiful and airy. The staff is exceptionally amazing. And rhe food, well, it was the best place I've eating down in Surfside. Hands down- best in Surfside.

I have officially had the worst dining experience of my life tonight. We went to sit outdoors at Capt. Ken’s with my Mother from Wisconsin to share some wonderful seafood with her. When we arrived, we were escorted in a small elevator up to the third floor to their new dining room by a maskless employee. The smell of the dining room was stale and the temperature was uncomfortably warm, even though 63 degrees outdoors. No music, but multiple children running around screaming to set the ambiance. Although arriving minutes after opening, I was informed that they only had two whole flounders left so I quickly ordered a whole grilled one. My spouse and Mom got their orders first and the French fries were cold, onion ring/shrimp/oysters way over cooked and 10 minutes later, my dish comes out. While waiting, I heard the table next to us declare that she had NOT ordered the whole flounder but the stuffed flounder. Well, guess what they brought me...the stuffed flounder. By then, no more whole flounder available. I told the Capt. of the issue and he graciously offered to cut me a filet and cook it in six minutes, but by then everyone else was done eating. To top it off, our waitress attempted to add $5.99 for our onion rings which were the other “option” instead of fries. Hopefully, with so many amazing wait staff out of work, they can reboot and start over by hiring competent cooks and wait staff.

Great food, atmosphere, and service. We will definitely be back.

Mostly higher score because of the atmosphere. It is a lovely setting with entertainment and a pool. Pretty cool, felt like real vacation. The food unfortunately did not meet expectations. The blackened fish seemed heated up, the starter mushrooms mushy. Overpriced for the area (comparable fish $18 here versus $13 for lot bigger portion), portions small and presentation poor. It took an hour to get our food, service was poor, delivered wrong side. Staff was very friendly, everyone seems to be family. Would return but only because of the atmosphere and stick to some starter at most.
