Awesome food, great service and all of the staff were very nice and accommodating. Stumbled upon this place after leaving the zoo hungry and not wanting overpriced zoo food. It was definitely worth it and I would go back again! They have a large outdoor seating area that is partially covered. Inside there is limited seating.

Service: The service was outstanding, we can tell that they care and want a good experience for all of their customer. From the front door, one gentleman approached us and started to tell which one mixed together and good one for first-timer. We are impressed with their approach with their customers.nnFood: It's worth the drive, we loved the beef ribs! We ordered the brisket and it's so soft but am still siding with the beef brisket.nnPlace: They have a small restaurant but they have a big area for outside sitting. I think best time to go is about 4pm onwards because they have lights setup outside and for you to enjoy it. While we did dine in they only have 4 tables inside with 4 chairs each.nnThe place was really nice and you can tell from the pictures I uploaded, you can feel the Texas vibes!

Not decent BBQ. I had the brisket. It was a pile of gray meat with little flavor, no discernible smoke ring and flavorless and tough bark. It tasted like it had been lightly smoked and then kept warm/cooked in water and meat drippings for hours. When I'm paying for brisket, I want slices of tremendous smoked flavor in tender meat, not a greasy stew. Why two stars? Well, it was technically edible, they have a decent (canned) beer selection and a large patio/outdoor seating. So not the worst place I've ever been to, but I will not be going back. With so many great BBQ places in San Antonio, let alone Central TX, this place is only in business because it's the closest eatery to the zoo. I should have known it was a tourist trap and not going to be good TX BBQ when I saw the giant pig above the front door. eye roll

Was here eating with family on a trip to San Antonio. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful. Everyone was really friendly, and the food was great. My sister got a cheese burger, and it came out nearly a pound. The cheese is thick slices, and the hamburger is juicy. I got a brisket bbq basket and it fell apart on my fork. Very smokey, everything home-made. Even the fries.

always have loved this place! indoor and covered and uncovered outdoor seating with a stage for entertainment. Conveniently located near the zoo and Brackenridge Park. The food tastes amazing! They are running out of food until business picks up again so get there early;)
