Absolutely stunning in all seasons and always plenty of fabulous activities for the whole family, this is well worth getting a yearly membership! Plenty of smooth paved trails as well as dirt trails around the native Texas plant area. Plenty of signage in English, Spanish, and even a Braille tactile garden for the visually impaired.nnBird blind good for spotting local and migrating birds, there’s a family adventure garden geared towards kids with tiny houses, a small amphitheater, and more to explore. I love the range of nature walks, cooking classes, and weekend hands-on workshops.nnGreat gift shop and sells potted plants and flowers for home gardens as well.nnThe compact Japanese garden was built by master gardeners from Japan and symbolizes the friendship between San Antonio and our sister city of Kumamoto.

I loved this garden! A lot of what was outdoors seemed it had been killed off by the frost earlier this year, but most of the stuff in the greenhouses was still healthy. I thought the exhibits were really cool and educational. Definitely worth the price and it's somewhere you could easily spend a few hours.

Even with the recent cold weather, I really enjoyed the gardens. Several buildings held many plants that were not affected by the weather. The grounds were very nice. Great walking paths. Easy to explore the entire area. Great for kids!

Beautiful tranquil place to go. Great for families! Go at your own pace with a nice little gift shop. The Japanese tea garden is not very big, so make sure you aren't going her just for that. Other than that I have no complaints!

Visited here today and thought it was lovely. It has been 13 years since we last visited and it has grown. You can tell the recent freeze was hard on some plants, but the area is still beautiful. Nice walking trails and many shaded areas to stop and rest.
