I love this place so much. The loop is very short and very nice with a few landmarks and a lot of artwork randomly strewn along the whole way. You should go down all the loop's surrounding wilderness paths too though. On those paths there are times you feel as though you are in the middle of a forest not the middle of a big city! It's a wonderful effect and great exercise.
Nice easy hiking trail attached to UIW. It has some very pretty oaks on the property. Brought our kids and our dogs. Everyone head a great time.
Awesome trails. Great for walking or jogging! I would say it's kid friendly! It's more for beginner hikers!
Great place for a calming walk.
Everywhere we walked at UIW gave us major heebie jeebies. And sadly the trails were in terrible condition. Not sure what the fences were trying to keep out (or in) but they were all broken apart and torn open. Gross old long-empty bird feeders... yeah. Not sure if they had to fire a maintenance crew with COVID cutbacks or if they just ignore large parts of the trails. I came here with my husband thinking it was a new place I could come back later with just our baby, but I wouldn’t even feel comfortable doing so.
