He is doing excellent job teaching my son to play the guitar!!!
Giovanni is an excellent guitar teacher. As an older student I was a little apprehensive about taking guitar lessons.Giovanni put me at ease immediately. He has a very unique way of teaching that he developed himself. It makes sense and teaches sound musical theory. My relationship started with him through North East Independent Community School group lessons. It was an excellent way for me to see if I wanted to pursue further lessons. As a teacher myself, I saw in him excellent teaching techniques. I pursued several months of lessons and plan to take some more in the future. I saw him put on a performance with his younger students and I was impressed with his interaction with them. He cares for his students and wants them to succeed. I highly recommend Giovanni Reyes, and String Theory 6 as an excellent way to begin on the guitar or advance skills if you already play. Giovanni is a very humble man, doing something that he loves, and it shows in his interactions with his students, whether young or older.
My son enjoys his weekly guitar lessons with Gio. He is a great teacher, very patient and offers lessons at times that fit my busy schedule. It's awesome to see my kiddo stay motivated to keep learning music. Highly recommend StringTheory6. So glad we found him!
Tyler Crouch - I was taught by Giovanni for 2-3 years, and i have to say that i am glad i did. He is clearly an excellent guitar teacher and player. He really helped me learn what i needed to know when starting out with guitar. I know that if i tried to learn by myself, I would have never learned as much as i did with him. Having him as a teacher really is a great deal because once you get good enough, you can play with other students he has. You even have the chance of playing in front of a live audience! I really enjoyed him as a teacher and he is just an overall great person. I highly recommend him to teach you guitar.
Gio offered a great intro to playing live music in a group with a mixture of theory and fun stuff. The kids rock almost right out of the gates. Not everyone is going to become virtuosos or professional musicians, so he makes the practical and fun. He teaches the kids the things they'll need to take with them and jam with friends and teach themselves new songs on their own. Great value too. So much instruction for the price. I don't see how it could be beat.
