First let me start by giving a back story. In September of last year my wife and I were in a major car wreck and neither of us were able to walk hell barely move for at least 4 months. Due to poor diet and lack of motivation and even movement we gain A lot of weight. ( I am military so my body is my job) I had heard the advertisements and talked to my wife about it just for her to do because I am a guy all I need to do is just work out a little and I am fine right? We made the appointment and met with Hank. He sat with us and discussed the entire program and what it could do for us if we stick to the program. Then he talked to me about doing it I was just skeptical at first but he convinced me to at least do the blood work and let’s see. Well it turns out all the pain meds and blood replacement I had from the hospital wrecked my hormone levels hence the weight gain and lack of energy. We started the program in March and I am happy to say her and I both have lost a ton of weight and packed on solid muscle. (she is going to kill me for this) My wife went from 260 lbs to she is at 200 and still losing. I went from 207 to 165 and gaining the weight back in pure muscle. Let me tell you nothing is easy but it can be done. Thank you Hank for what you have done for us and I would recommend this program to anyone.
After listening to the ads on the radio to lose 30 pounds in 30 days I decided to give this a try. I scheduled an appointment and was given the standard line that at my age I'm probably in low 200s for testosterone and supplementing this would allow me to decrease weight, gain energy, and feel like I did in my 20s. It was expensive, $400 to sign up but I decided to go ahead.nnThe next step was to get my blood work. The results were then reviewed by a physicians assistant, not the medical doctor they claim to have at the site. My testosterone was over 600 and the claim was that I was borderline diabetic. The PA issued a series of prescriptions to get my body in balance based upon a template, not necessarily my blood work. I was prescribed testosterone and thyroid supplements for another $120.nnA friend from work also went to the same place (unknown by me at the time). His goal was to gain 30 pounds. He was given identical prescriptions to mine. I asked the PA (since the doctor is not available) to explain how two differing goals was obtained by the exact same prescriptions. No real explanation was provided.nnAfter 60 days on the plan I had gained 17 pounds. I had kept to my previous diet where I had been losing 1-2 pounds a month. My exercise increased during this time. I spoke again with the staff and had no explanation. My coworker gained 15 pounds on the same plan so of course he was happy.nnAfter 3 months and having gained a total of 17 pounds it was time to renew my prescriptions. I declined and told the company I will be cancelling the program. The reasons I told them was that no individual plan was provided to me. No consultations, nothing to differentiate my plan from my coworkers. The fact that I gained 17 pounds and not lost 30 like promised also played a major role in my cancelling. The company was going to charge me $400 to cancel the plan. I declined and ultimately they waived the cancellation fee.nnMy experience was such that this felt like a prescription mill. There was no personal plan and the results were opposite that I was expecting. I'm disappointed in the company. I paid a premium cost for specialized service and was set back months on my goals.
I visited Ultra Fitness to take advantage of the testosterone therapy. I had been working out for 11 months and wanted to increase muscle mass. My trainer recommended Ultra fitness. I continued on the therapy for about 9 months and decided to stop the injections due to personal reasons. I received regular blood tests and recommendations for change on doses as needed. When I decided to cancel the program, I was informed that they would charge me for an additional month after the cancellation. After I explained that I did not believe this was fair since I was paying for a service that I was not receiving, they waived the 30 day policy and did not charge me for the next month. They also said they would work with me if I decided to continue the service in the future. (I assume they will not charge me for the initial fee of $400.00.) I have read several of the negative responses listed and simply believe that you get out of it what you put into it. I did not use their facilities to work out because I live out of town. The testosterone therapy worked for me. I gained muscle mass and maintained my weight while reaching my goals. I also controlled my diet as recommended and worked out 3-4 days per week. There are no miracle drugs. At 57, my T levels were low and the added T assisted me to reach my goals. Be realistic when you sign up for a program. You have to follow all of the rules.
I've been working out here for close to a year and a half, long enough to not understand why anyone would have a problem. The staff is always helpful, especially Eric. He is pretty quick to take care of any issues that ever came up with me. I like the atmosphere. The doctor was extremely courteous and bent over backward to be accommodating. That alone impressed me.
Hank is great ... BUT, the new doctors that are running this program come across as hacks. I had a back injury. I wanted to discontinue or suspend my account. Instead, they want me to get my insurance to buy analgesic cream that costs over $2 THOUSAND a month while continuing to excercise without a check-up by a competent back doctor. They tried to dissuade me from stopping the program saying that it would cost the initial start up fee of 400 dollars to reestablish membership. GREEDY HACKS in my opinion.
